As part of the flood recovery disaster funding, Port Macquarie Hastings Council (PMHC) commissioned the construction of a new bridge and associated roadworks over Cowal Creek in Bellangry. The project scope included the removal of the existing roadway, bulk earthworks, pavement construction, spray sealing, linemarking, and traffic control. ACG provided an innovative solution to reuse materials from the existing sidetrack, resulting in significant cost savings for the client.
Given the bridge’s replacement due to flood damage, the new roadworks were at risk of potential water runoff damage. Therefore, efficiency and a quick project completion were crucial. ACG successfully delivered the project within a short timeframe, ensuring the bridge’s readiness for public use. The Port Macquarie Hastings Council praised ACG for achieving a defect-free opening, marking a successful and timely completion of this critical infrastructure project.
