Alliance Construction Group (ACG) were engaged by Kempsey Shire Council in early November 2024 to complete emergency stability works to the existing cell 3 embankment to allow for the safe opening of Cell 4 by December 2024.
These works were necessary to mitigate risks associated with the slope instability of Cell 3 and to enable safe access to prepare for truck movements and commencement of Cell 4 fill receival by 31 December 2024.
Although the works were to be completed in a tight program our team worked diligently 7 days a week with our fleet of machines and some local subcontractors to ensure that works were completed on time.
It’s great feeling, having the ability to work on a project that needs the extra support to get across the line and provide better facilities to the community. The way our site supervisor handled resource management and liaising with the team at the Waste Management Facility resulted in a project KSC highly praised.
