ACG undertook the construction of stormwater drainage and gabion structures in an environmentally sensitive area to resolve ineffective drainage from nearby properties. The project involved installing 50 meters of concrete pipe and five pit structures on a steep grade exceeding 12%. A critical aspect was the protection of Koala habitat trees nestled between the drainage structures. To avoid damaging tree roots, ACG employed hydrovacuuming techniques.
Given the steep slope of the land, the project posed significant safety and environmental risks. To mitigate these, security fencing was erected to protect the Koala Corridor, and spotters were used where fencing was not feasible. Despite these challenges and the proximity of community properties, ACG successfully completed the works within all environmental constraints and safety requirements.
