ACG completed foreshore protection works at Trial Bay across three precincts, addressing challenges such as adverse weather, high water table levels, and high levels of public interaction. The project involved earthworks, sandstone bleachers on CFA piles, and the reconstruction of a 100-metre rock revetment.
In Precinct 1, we handled earthworks and landscaping, while Precinct 2 saw the construction of sandstone bleachers, boat ramp, and surrounding works. Precinct 3 involved the reconstruction of a rock revetment with over 3000 tonnes of rock and rebuilt beach access.
To mitigate dewatering challenges below the water table, ACG developed a custom precast concrete block system for CFA piling, reducing excavation risks. Dewatering solutions at Precinct 2 and efficient excavation methods at Precinct 3 minimised delays.
ACG fostered a collaborative relationship with stakeholders, adapting to weather-related disruptions to complete the project slightly beyond the original timeline.
