The Knodingbul Forest Road is a key connecting road used by locals and tourists alike for visiting some of our region’s most scenic lookouts. Destruction caused by localised flooding meant that repairs needed to be carried out urgently and safely in order to reopen the road.
The comprehensive construction efforts undertaken by ACG included several elements. Initially, measures were implemented for erosion and sediment control to safeguard the road and its surrounding environment. To enhance safety and stability, loose material was stripped away, and the shoulder was filled and compacted.
To combat erosion and promote sustainable vegetation growth, batter stabilisation was achieved using jutmesh and seed. The unsealed pavement, a key component of the road, was safely reconstructed to ensure durability and longevity.
Through a combination of strategic planning and expert execution, ACG successfully transformed this crucial but deteriorating road into a safer and more resilient route, catering to the needs of the local community and visitors alike.
