This project significantly enhanced erosion protection and infrastructure resilience in the aftermath of major floods, ensuring the safety and longevity of critical community roads, and safeguarding vital transportation routes for residents and emergency services within the Cessnock LGA road networks.

The Landslip Remedial Package 2 project stabilised six critical landslip sites on Cessnock LGA roads post-2022 floods. Key achievements include a 2-metre high retaining wall and improved road safety on Murrays Run Road, despite adverse weather and logistical challenges.

A significant highlight of this project was ACG’s adept handling of urgent road rehabilitation in challenging mountainous terrain, specifically addressing landslides. Despite the conditions, these upgrades were completed safely and on time.
