The Logans Crossing Bridge, a critical access point for many residents of the Camden Haven region, was rendered impassable after being washed away during the 2019 floods, severely disrupting the daily lives of local residents. The road had been fully closed for many years, making the duration of this project imperative to our success.
ACG was brought on to deliver the road approaches for this bridge, as well as 4 others in the Port Macquarie Hastings Council region. This project was not only focused on re-establishing vital infrastructure but also embraced sustainable practices. One notable initiative was the salvaging and reuse of surplus materials, promoting sustainable construction practices. These salvaged materials were carefully assessed for their usability and transported to the nearest council’s stockpile site for reutilisation, ensuring that reusable resources were not wasted.
The closure of the road due to the bridge’s destruction presented an urgent need for quick reconstruction. The collaborative efforts between our client and ACG were crucial to streamline and expedite the construction process.
