The Pappinbarra Junction Bridge, destroyed by a bushfire on November 8, 2019, was replaced by the Port Macquarie Hastings Council with a new concrete bridge that mirrors the original structure. This reconstruction project, financed by the NSW Government, reinstated the bridge on Right Arm Road (Upper Pappinbarra) at the same location as its predecessor. ACG delivered the road approaches adhering to all PMHC specification, on time and within budget.
Strict adherence to environmental controls was maintained owing to the bridge’s proximity to the Pappinbarra River, ensuring the preservation of the river system and its adjacent environment.
ACG completed the project well within the initially set timeframe, allowing for an earlier opening of the bridge to the public, despite adjustments required due to local flooding.
