In March 2021, heavy rainfall triggered a significant landslide on the upslope side of Sherwood Road, spanning over 30 meters in length and damaging the road pavement. The landslide hazard posed a significant risk to road users, classified as unacceptable according to TfNSW standards.
The Sherwood Road Landslip Remediation project was initiated to address the damage and mitigate future risks. This project, fully funded by Transport for NSW, aims to repair and rehabilitate the road near Sherwood Bridge.
ACG was brought on to deliver this project, ensuring that the works minimise the risk of further detrimental landslides, keeping the road open and safe for users, and restoring the supports and road width to their pre-slope failure condition.
