The Stroud Waste Management Centre under MidCoast Council underwent a major redevelopment, transforming into a covered Community Recycling Centre and Waste Transfer Station. This included an office, tip shop, and improved parking facilities. ACG was tasked by the Council to handle various construction elements for the redevelopment.
Executing these development initiatives posed several challenges, primarily due to the necessity of conducting the works while the Waste Management Facility remained fully operational. This required meticulous planning to ensure worker safety and uninterrupted access for heavy waste vehicles and the public. To mitigate the impact on the waste facility, the project was conducted in smaller sections, carefully managed to prevent disruptions.
ACG’s strategic planning and phased execution allowed the project to progress without incident, ensuring the safety of workers and continued access for waste vehicles and the public.
