In the wake of the destructive March 2021 floods that impacted the Mid Coast region, Wallanbah Road faced significant damage from a major landslide, leaving it in a state of disrepair. ACG was chosen to lead the restoration efforts, playing a key role in reconnecting local residents and achieving a noteworthy milestone in the road’s recovery.
Confronted with the challenges posed by a steep slope and water-damaged sections near the Tipperary Road intersection, ACG initiated a
thorough stabilisation effort.
To address slope instability and water damage, we employed strategic measures such as installing soil nails and constructing a reinforced concrete wall. These interventions not only stabilised the immediate issues but also ensured the road’s long-term resilience, showcasing ACG’s expertise in implementing effective technical solutions
