ACG was tasked with the rehabilitation of the Wauchope Train Station Carpark, overseen by Sydney Trains. The initiative aimed to upgrade the worn-out section of the carpark to align with Sydney Trains’ commuter standards.
Executing the construction works while the station remained in operation and received passenger trains four times a day was a significant achievement. Managing pedestrian safety and movement around the construction site was a top priority for our team. The project needed to adhere to Local Council Specifications and Standard Drawings while meeting the client’s requirements and deadlines.
ACG implemented robust strategies to address the challenges. Prioritising pedestrian safety, the team managed the site to ensure smooth station operations with no disruptions. Adherence to Local Council Specifications and Standard Drawings was a key focus, guaranteeing the final outcome aligned with client expectations and completion timeframes.
The project’s successful completion, despite the station’s continuous operation and high train frequency, showcased ACG’s adept handling of construction in a live transportation hub. The seamless integration of necessary upgrades within stringent operational constraints highlighted the efficiency and commitment to safety in the execution.
