Mid Coast Council – Cox Bridge Bridge Approach Road Works

Cox Bridge is a part of the Fixing Country Bridges Program, which is a NSW Government program to replace timber bridges with concrete bridges across New South Wales. This bridge along with many, have been hit hard by natural disasters like floods and the renewal of the bridge program will open up more efficient routes for heavy vehicles, from freighters to the local school bus and Rural Fire Service tankers.

ACG were engaged to conduct the construction of the bridge approach road works to the Cox Bridge Project, which included bulk earthworks, flexible pavement construction, installation of guardrails and 2-coat spray seal. These works were conducted under the programmed timeframe due to our ability to work 12 hour shifts, however, there were flooding delays. Works in this project also involved the rehabilitation of the temporary bridge, which had been damaged by flood, and its removal on completion of works
