Mid Coast Council – Stroud Waste Management Facility

MidCoast Council’s Stroud Waste Management Centre was redeveloped into a covered Community Recycling Centre and Waste Transfer Station, with an office, tip shop and improved parking. MidCoast Council awarded the contract to ACG for the construction of Bulk earthworks, retaining walls, concrete slabs, a septic system, gravity sewer and stormwater drainage. The Concrete slabs consisted of integrated piers and pier caps.

These works were conducted while the Waste Management Facility was in full use and involved delinearating the site to ensure the safety of workers and maintain the heavy waste vehicles and public, access to site. Although the project had to be completed in small sections to avoid impacts to the Waste Facility, ACG manged to complete the works without issue or incident and to a high satisfaction of the Waste Management Centre and MidCoast Council.
