NSW Public Works – Oxley Vale Life Learning Centre

The Oxley Vale Life Learning Centre is a $3.4 million investment from the NSW Government which consists of Port Macquarie Arts and Craft Centre and the Hasting’s Men’s Shed to share the one location. Awarded the first package in this construction, ACG undertook all the civil works and bulk earthworks to prepare the two building pads ready for the construction of the buildings to accommodate the both groups in individual buildings. This project included bulk earthworks, construction of a biorention basin fit with a SPEL GPT, asphalt driveway and carpark area as well as sewer, water, stormwater, fire reticulation, electrical and communications. Works were completed well before the specified time, with a high satisfaction rating from both Public Works and the clients’ (Port Macquarie Arts and Craft Centre and the Hasting’s Men’s Shed).

Our co-operative management approach saw our monthly in progress meetings attended by all stakeholders, which enabled them to engage in the process and actively participate with visits to see the progress of the site, which they were extremely happy to be a part of.
